Extension Preparation

Prior to starting your house extension in Liverpool & Wirral, there’s some initial prep work required. Firstly, planning permission may be required if any of the following criteria are met for side, single or double storey extensions.

Single Storey

  • The Extension is more the 3 meters out from the original house (Semi-Detached)
  • The Extension is more the 4 meters out from the original house (Detached)
  • The Extension Height is over 4 Meters
  • If the materials used are different to the original house.

Double Storey Extension

  • The extension is higher than the original House
  • If the Extension is more than 3 meters out from the original building.
  • If the Extension is closer than 7 meters to the home’s boundary wall.
  • If the materials used are different to the original house.

Side Extension

  • If the height is over 4 metres
  • If the extension is over half the width of the original house
