Extension Foundations and Brickwork

Foundations will vary depending on several factors, including soil type, ground conditions, the type and size of the extension and the architectural design. Our building inspector will ensure your new extension is built on solid foundations.

We will then proceed to start the brickwork to the external of the extension.

Structural Reinforcement

Demolition of your old structure and new structural reinforcements will be put in place to support the building while your new extension and old structure are united.

Once the external shell of your new extension is completed and is secure, our team will work to fit a weather-proof roof, fully enclosing your property.

Internal Decorations and Construction

The next step in building your extension will include internal construction. This will include the installation of pipes and plumbing points, electricity and heating, along with building and skimming the internal walls.

Work will then begin on the interior of your extension will begin, with the installation of your worktops, including windows and doors, worktops, plumbing appliances and more.

Safety Inspections and Testing

    Single Storey Requirements

    • The Extension is more than 3 meters out from the original house (Semi-Detached)
    • The Extension is more the 4 meters out from the original house (Detached)
    • The Extension Height is over 4 Meters
    • If the materials used are different to the original house.

    Double Storey Extension Requirements

    • The extension is higher than the original House
    • If the Extension is more than 3 meters out from the original building.
    • If the Extension is closer than 7 meters to the home’s boundary wall.
    • If the materials used are different to the original house.

    • If the height is over 4 metres
